Stuart Olson is searching for certified Industrial Electricians local to the Red Deer area to join us for our 2024 Electrical Projects work starting the end of January. This job provides the opportunity to earn above average pay with overtime. Work with a team that values safety, fair compensation, and employee experience.

Responsibilities
- Reads and interprets electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and electrical code specifications
- Pulling cable/wire through conduits and cable trays
- Installs, replaces, maintains, and repairs electrical systems and related electrical equipment
- Cable glanding and terminations
- Point to Point verifications to ensure integrity and safety of installations
- Ability to work off ground, with ladders, scaffolding and AWP
- Ability to measure, cut, fab and install cable trays
- Installation of heat trace, and heat trace components
- Installation of light fixtures, junction boxes and miscellaneous pieces of equipment ranging in various weights from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs.
- May perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Certified Journeyman Electrician
- Must have project/construction experience; ideally working in a Petro Chemical facility
- Driver’s License or valid government-issued photo ID
- Completion of client mandatory site training requirements, ESC Permits, Isolations and Lockouts
- Strong mathematical, scientific, mechanical, and logical reasoning abilities
- Positive attitude towards safety
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
Required Safety Tickets
- CSTS-20
- Arc Flash is required
- Fall Arrest an asset
- Confined Space an asset
- Aerial Work Platform an asset
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time, working outside in all kinds of weather
- Ability to stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time
- Ability to lift to 25kg
- Climbing stairs/ladders regularly
- Exposure to hazards such as heights, power tools, slips, falls, falling objects, and sharp hand tools

Stuart Olson is adding to their team and is searching for a Journeyperson HVAC/Refrigeration Technician to join us for a new opportunity at our client site in Joffre Alberta. As a Refrigeration / HVAC Technician with Stuart Olson you will have a stable income with a limited call out schedule! Preference will be given to candidates local to the Red Deer region.

Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Supervisor, the Stuart Olson HVAC Technician will be responsible for:
- Preventative maintenance and building checks on RTU, AHU, MUA, Unit heaters and exhaust fans.
- Respond to and perform emergency and preventative maintenance on heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems and components.
- Furnace and air conditioner changeouts.
- Ensure building standards are maintained.
- Advanced controls; electric, pneumatic, DDS.
- Compressor and heat pump changeouts.
- Advanced Boiler Operations.
- Other duties as requested by the Supervisor.
Qualifications
- Canadian Certified Journeyman (Refrigeration or Equivalent)
- Alberta Gasfitter “A” or “B” Ticket is a strong asset.
- Ability to understand process of the facility and work with operations on an as needed basis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good mathematical, scientific, mechanical, and logical reasoning abilities.
- Committed dedication to safety; reflected in practice and experience.
- Strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Well organized with good time management skills.
- Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol test.
