Stuart Olson is searching for Journeyperson & Apprentice (4th and 3rd) Electrician to join us for upcoming turnaround and project work at a client site in Alberta. Responsibilities
- Reads and interprets electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and electrical code specifications
- Pulling cable/wire through conduits and cable trays
- Installs, replaces, maintains, and repairs electrical systems and related electrical equipment
- Cable glanding and Terminations
- Point to Point verifications to ensure integrity and safety of installations
- Ability to work off ground, with ladders, scaffolding and AWP
- Ability to measure, cut, fab and install cable trays
- Installation of heat trace, and heat trace components
- Installation of light fixtures, junction boxes and miscellaneous pieces of equipment ranging in various weights from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs.
- May perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Certified Journeyman Electrician
- 3rd and 4th year Apprentice Electricians with Industrial experience
- Must have project/construction experience; ideally working in a SAGD, or Oil and Gas Facility
- Valid government-issued photo ID
- CSTS-20
- Energy Safety Canada (ESC):
H2s Alive
Fall Arrest an asset
Confined Space an asset
Aerial Work Platform an asset
- Completion of client mandatory site training requirements, ESC Permits, Isolations and Lockouts
- Strong mathematical, scientific, mechanical, and logical reasoning abilities
- Positive attitude towards safety with the ability to work collaboratively
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Focus on customer satisfaction
Working Conditions
- Compliance to Pre Access Drug and Alcohol testing
- Must have reliable transportation to get to camp
- Working both indoors and outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions
- Working at heights
- Working in and around noise and dust
- Must be clean shaven
- Personal safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots,
