    Responsibilities

    • Synthesizing information from a variety of sources, including blueprints, plans and written specifications, in order to select proper materials and the amounts needed for a project 
    • Using details from written plans and instructions from supervisors to securely bolt metal structures like beams and columns together 
    • Transporting heavy metal pieces from the ground level to a higher location using tools like cranes or working with other team members to help position pieces correctly 
    • Building steel structural pieces and components when working on a project that involves a large structure like a commercial building, a bridge, a highway, or other public works project 
    • Ensuring proper placement, balance, and alignment of structural pieces by using levels, laser tools or plumb bobs 
    • Transforming metal pieces into functional elements that meet the guidelines of the project by cutting materials and using fabrication techniques 
    • Accessing challenging work positions that are either at elevation or otherwise difficult to reach while following proper provincial regulations 

    Qualifications

    • Journeyman Ironworker ticket or Apprentice ID
    • Valid government-issued photo ID
    • CSTS-2020 / CSO / CSTS 09 (site specific) 
    • Energy Safety Canada H2S Alive
    • Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection
    • Energy Safety Canada Confined Space Entry Monitor
    • WHMIS
    • Able to work under SBA mask preferred 
    • Rigging experience considered an asset 
    • Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol testing

    Working Conditions

    • Working at heights
    • Working in a confined space
    • Must be clean shaven
    • Personal safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots
    • Working both indoors and outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions

    Responsibilities

    • Adhere to a given WPS.
    • Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
    • Perform GTAW, GMAW, and SMAW welds
    • Understand the importance of Consumable Storage and Maintenance
    • Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects
    • Repair parts of metal products by welding on extra layers
    • Maintain safe work practices
    • Follow a Step by Step Repair Plan
    • Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance and repair techniques
    • Secure components together applying knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metal machining weld shrinkage, and welding techniques
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed

    Qualifications

    • Journeyman Welder or Red Seal Ticket Journeyman
    • Need to have tig and carbon stick welding as well as CWB carbon and SS tickets.
    • Valid B Pressure Ticket
    • Valid GTAW ticket
    • F3/F4 required
    • F6/F4 or F6 is an asset
    • Ability to identify all techniques of welding (GTAW, GMAW, etc.), and know all properties of various types of metal and how heat affects them
    • Ability to identify the requirements for various welding tests (6g, X-ray, etc.) and to produce welds that meet each requirement
    • Ability to take direction and follow through on instructions
    • Committed dedication to safety; reflected in practice and experience
    • Ability to work collaboratively
    • Superior written and verbal communication skills
    • Superior focus on customer satisfaction

    • Hydro test and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as required
    • Maintain all tools, work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
    • Read and interpret client and company supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications
    • Ensure work areas are kept clean and free of hazards
    • Ensure tools and equipment are returned to job boxes and tool cribs
    • Report all incidents, “near miss” incidents including damages/non-damage, injury/non-injury incidents
    • Review and participate in the preparation of safe work practices/procedures as required.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed

    Responsibilities

    • Multi-Stage pumps repair, reciprocating pump repair, gear box repair, steam turbine experience would all be considered an asset
    • All general maintenance duties on our industrial construction project
    • Read diagrams and schematic drawings, blue-prints, and service manuals to determine work procedures
    • Operate rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts
    • Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances
    • Align and test equipment and make any necessary adjustments
    • Perform predictive and operational procedures
    • Repair and/or replace defective parts
    • Service and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
    • Maintain an inventory of replacement parts
    • Prepare layout including material selection, sequence planning and methods of work
    • Ensure work areas are kept clean and free of hazards

    Responsibilities
    Reporting to the Superintendent, the Journeyperson/Apprentice Insulator will be responsible for:

    • Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine insulation requirements
    • Select the amount and type of insulation to be installed as well as a method of securing the insulation according to the type and shape of the surface, whether, or not the equipment is cold or hot, inside or outside, and what the equipment is going to be used for
    • Operate Manlifts
    • Measure and cut insulation material and coverings to the required shape and dimensions
    • Fit insulation around obstructions or shape insulation materials and protective coverings
    • Install vapor barriers and finish insulated surfaces by applying metal cladding, plastic or cement
    • Report all incidents, “near miss” incidents including damages/non-damage, injury/non-injury incidents
    • Review and participate in the preparation of safe work practices/procedures as required
    • Must have asbestos certification
    • Other tasks and labor duties as required on the job site

    Qualifications

    • AIT ID or Journeyperson/Apprentice Ticket or Proof of Hours for non-ticketed Journeyperson/Apprentice
    • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean Driver’s Abstract
    • Elevated Work Platform (ESC)
    • CSTS 2020
    • Fall Protection (ESC)
