At Stuart Olson, we’re committed to excellence, safety, and teamwork. We’re currently seeking a skilled Millwright with a strong background in Quality Control, to join our team for a 2025 turnaround project at a client site in Fort McMurray, Alberta.
What You’ll Do
As a Quality Control Inspector, you’ll ensure our work meets the highest standards by:
- Implementing and maintaining our Quality Management System.
- Preparing and reviewing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), technical documentation, and material requisitions.
- Conducting inspections on materials, welds, and fabrication processes to ensure compliance with codes and specifications.
- Coordinating with clients and inspectors for hold/witness points, pressure testing, and NDE activities.
- Supporting audits, resolving nonconformities, and ensuring traceability and documentation accuracy.
What You Bring
- Red Seal Journeyman Millwright Certification
- 5 years’ QA/QC experience working in industrial/construction/ maintenance industry
- Familiarity with API (American Petroleum Institute) Recommended Practice 686
- Strong knowledge of welding procedures, codes, and standards.
- Experience with regulatory bodies (e.g., ABSA, TSBC) and quality documentation.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

- Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 lbs. with assistance
- Stand or walk for long periods of time
- Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects
- Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds and other objects
