    Responsibilities

    • Must be a team player, able to work professionally with others to complete required tasks.
    • Blueprint reading, including structural erection drawings, fabrication details and engineered lift plans
    • Follow erection plans and planned sequences
    • Loading and transporting steel and steel structures from lay downs to erection locations
    • Pre-assembling structures at ground level and installing at elevation.
    • Ensuring proper placement, balance, and alignment of structural pieces by using levels, laser tools or plumb bobs 
    • Transforming metal pieces into functional elements that meet the guidelines of the project by cutting materials and using fabrication techniques 
    • Cutting, grinding and drilling as required for fabrication.
    • Working with welders for fabrication and installation scopes
    • Accessing challenging work positions that are either at elevation or otherwise difficult to reach while following proper provincial regulations

    About the Role

    Stuart Olson is looking for an experienced Millwright Supervisor with a solid background in complex, integrated petrochemical facilities. This role provides leadership and oversight for millwrights working across maintenance, turnarounds, and small capital projects.     Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise and support millwrights performing work on rotating equipment across maintenance, turnaround, and small project scopes.

    • Oversee contractor millwrights during turnarounds and project execution.

    Required Qualifications

    • Canadian Certified Journeyperson Industrial Millwright
    • 10-15 years + years of millwright experience in petrochemical, refining, or heavy industrial environments.
    • 5 + years of General Foreman and superintendent experience preferably in a multi‑discipline or multi‑site setting.
    • Demonstrated experience working on complex, integrated petrochemical sites.
    • Strong understanding of rotating equipment, alignment, precision maintenance, and mechanical troubleshooting.
    • Ability and willingness to travel regularly to company sites.
    • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and equipment manuals.

    Preferred Assets

    • Experience with CMMS platforms (SAP, Maximo, etc.).
    • Turnaround leadership experience.
    • Exposure to predictive maintenance technologies.
    • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks relevant to petrochemical operations.
